A one-on-one personal starter session with Mercedes, scheduled at a time of your convenience.
3 consecutive days of 1 hour classes in a group setting, which you can attend in person at Uma Center or via Zoom.
Vedic meditation is a simple technique that helps the mind and body process stress on a cellular level effortlessly. If you can think, you can meditate. The Vedic technique does not require focus, concentration or any background in yoga. Vedic meditation is designed for people living busy lives.

Mercedes Garrido has been practicing and teaching meditation for over ten years. She teaches a technique named Vedic Meditation, which is the most ancient form of meditation. Through this technique Mercedes has helped people all over the world transform their lives. If you can think, you can meditate.
Originally from New York City with a Cuban-Italian heritage, prior to teaching, Mercedes held senior positions within both financial services and the start-up communities. It was during her days in finance that Mercedes learned Vedic Meditation. Realizing the positive impact meditation made in her day to day life, Mercedes felt inspired to become a teacher and share the technique with others.
Mercedes holds an MBA and MS in Marketing from Johns Hopkins University, as well as a BA in International Relations from American University, Washington, D.C.
